1. Choose any 2 scenes - from any character - in Episodes 1-3.

— I’m still more focused on looking at people and actors at-large, and then adjusting the scripts and characters later, if needed, around the selected people/actors, so you’re welcome to choose any scenes from any character. … I understand there are characters with distinct, cultural names that you’ll be drawn to based on where you’re from and if it makes it easier, you could do one scene with the character that most matches you culturally and then another scene from a different character.

2. Play it freely, just within the general tone we discussed.

— At this early stage I’m interested in seeing people’s own style and ideas on things, so I won’t give too much direction. The only thing to remember is that general tone of levity or fun that we discussed with the “I Love Lucy” clip. … For another, more modern reference there was a mini-series from 2021 called It’s A Sin that had a very similar tone. That series was ultimately about AIDS so it had some weight to it (like Bound would) but there was definitely a silliness to the writing/characters.

3. Provide an accent option, if needed. Adjust dialogue, if needed.

— As mentioned, the “A” plan for now is to build a cast of international characters - meaning from China, Nigeria, Russia, et al. So, if you need to, please provide an option with the appropriate, international accent. You can also do another version of a scene with your regular American, British, etc. accent if that applies to you. … Also, feel free to adjust dialogue to better fit an accent. In fact, at this stage you have the freedom to adjust scenes at large if you’d like to see/try something different.

4. Tape a few minutes, however you can.

— I’m in no position to be picky, so please tape however you can, whether with a phone or a camera and whether it’s on your own or with a partner. Of course a blank or minimal background, with a shallow depth, would be preferred. Also, if you could be mostly off-book for a scene that would be ideal. … The length of tapes will vary, depending on scenes chosen, but “a few minutes" should be sufficient for takes on a couple of scenes.

• For suggestion, it could be two versions/takes of each scene, equaling four options overall.

* Of course, this is all in conjunction with and dependent on how things go pitching and campaigning for the project over the coming months. … Also, as a reminder, don’t worry if you have other projects lined up or in play. The plan will be to work with the preferred cast (and main crew) on finding a future date that works for most people, if and when there’s funding.
